Perez Design Build Remodel is an established but growing firm, with over 40 years in the industry and a reputation for high-quality craftsmanship and design excellence. We are seeking a highly talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Drafter-Designer.
We are looking for proactive individuals, with a high attention to detail and a willingness to learn and grow within the company. This position will also require meeting with clients throughout the design process. Technical skills required are 3+ years of AutoCAD experience in a remodeling or construction setting, experience quoting and ordering materials, and a strong understanding of residential construction.

Position Highlights

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing drafting (70%), client meetings (20%), and material quoting/ordering (10%)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, understanding their needs and guiding them through the design process
- Willingness to learn Chief Architect software for 3D modeling and design purposes
- Must have a keen eye for design details and the ability to revise and update plans based on client feedback or project changes
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting revisions and updates for all jobs in the Design Department based on project feedback and changes
- Collaborate with Design and Production Teams to ensure design accuracy and quality
- Incorporate construction and mechanical design principles into plans
- Utilize Chief Architect software for 2D and 3D modeling of remodeling projects
- Meet with clients on small jobs, presenting design options and working through plan sets
- Quote and order material such as windows, doors, LVT flooring, plumbing items
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of AutoCAD experience in a remodeling or construction setting (REQUIRED)
- Experience in drafting and design, with a focus on revisions and updates
- Familiarity with Chief Architect software (PREFERRED)
- Knowledgeable in all phases of construction, including materials, systems, and finishes
- Ability to read and understand local building codes
- Experience with quoting and ordering materials
- High attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
- Excellent client-facing skills, including conducting meetings, making recommendations, and revising in real-time
